"My family has been insured with State Farm for as long as I can remember. Growing up, our agent and their staff were consistently helpful and reliable, so when I became an adult and had a family of my own, continuing with State Farm for myself, my wife, and our children was an easy decision. About four years ago, we moved to the other side of town and transferred our policies to a State Farm agent closer to our new home. Until recently, I had no concerns with the service we received. However, during the process of purchasing a new vehicle, I went online to update my policy. It took the agent’s office five days to respond with the proposed policy change. As you know, a vehicle cannot be purchased without proof of insurance, and I was not willing to risk losing the car while waiting indefinitely for a response. I contacted a competitor’s agent, who immediately provided the information I needed. Their quote was competitive and even lower than what my State Farm agent eventually sent. In the past, I never minded paying a higher premium because the level of service from previous State Farm agents had always been exceptional. Unfortunately, this recent experience did not reflect that standard. As a result, I ultimately decided to move my family’s other three vehicles to the new company. I understand that one experience does not represent the entire organization, but it does represent my personal experience as a long‑time customer. I am submitting this complaint in hopes that it will be taken seriously and used to improve service responsiveness for other policyholders."

"Note: I was asked to give this review, but this is my genuine authentic review of this insurance company. Compared to my previous American family insurance which I was with for 10 years now, my car insurance is cheaper, my plan is better (higher injury coverage for a lower price 100k vs 250k) and my agent got complimentary health insurance coverage for only a few bucks a month on top of my car coverage. I got a combined car discount with my car and van costing very little a month. Now the reason I give 4 stars is this: The agents are amazing, quick to respond, and give great rates, but I'm unsure if something was to happen to me or my car how the rates would be adjusted or how they handle claims. Based on initial impressions of the company as a whole they will handle it quickly, swiftly and effectively, but only time will tell with that. I also noticed a bit of a mask with some of the agents, now in society and especially jobs that is to be expected, especially when selling insurance, but time will tell what lies beyond the mask. I'm a very sensitive individual and can pick up on subtle things most miss, but I'm sure just like with any jobs we need to wear masks to get through it. Anyways, my honest review. As a ending note I very much appreciate my agent and the time they have put into getting my rates lower then my previous company, and I truly enjoyed the process of asking them questions, and having them answer everything and even take the time to make sure I understood everything I was signing. Great people here. I highly recommend them, if you are used to a corporate insurance company or agents this is the exact opposite."
